In the morning the fever was down to 101 and she seemed to be feeling a bit better.... but the doctor said she had a double ear infection so they ended up skipping her immunizations and just gave her a nasty antibiotic shot instead. Then we scheduled to bring her in 1 week later to check her ears and get the immunizations she needed.... so that's what we did. The week was rough though. Lots of middle of the night crying and coughing that turning into chocking on mucus and puking on mom. Yeah, I'm so used to it now. Having a sick child is so not fun... especially when you pick up the illness at the same time. Being sick and feeling ill makes it hard to have the energy to care for your little one. But we all pulled through it and are all feeling much better. Now I know what she was feeling as this cold was long and nasty. Here is a pick of Evey eating a popsicle to sooth her little throat. She's so dang cute!!

Being sick is no fun!
Flu season is poopy. Evey has only been sick 3 times now in her 1 year of life, but this last time was a real doozie for us all! She picked up a nasty cold and gave it to mom and dad, who then gave it to Grammie Debbi when she visited this last week. I felt so awful for E bean that she got this crud. None of us got any sleep and she was snotty and had a nasty cough. Last Sunday night I put her to bed and checked on her about 1 hour later and she felt like she was burning up. Sure enough her fever was 104 and we were worried. We called the Dr. and they said that since she had her 1 year wellness checkup the next day, just give her some motrin and get the fever down, the take her in in the morning. So that's what we did.
