EVEY TURNED 4!!!

Eveyanna you're now 4 years old!!! What a year it's been! We now live in Kigali Rwanda and you seem to love it! We got here 5 months ago and you've transitioned perfectly. You've always been a pretty easy kid... somewhat testy, bossy and whiney, but easy as far as traveling and finding comforts in mom and dad instead of in your stuff.

So like I said, you're very bossy. You even tell people "I'm the boss of you!" even mom and dad. You seem to know everything. You are VERY smart. You say you're going to be a ballerina, toothfairy, president of the USA and psychiatrist when you grow up. Way to go kid! You're very interested in heaven right now and what it is. I told you how awesome it is and so now you want to go there soon... but I said please no. You want me to go with you, but I am trying to convince you that God wants us here for now, so lets enjoy it! You love barbies, dolls, movies and tv, candy, popcorn, mangos, dressing PUNKY, hanging out with mama, crafting, dancing, singing and hugging on sissy TOO HARD! You have always been a rough lover, but with sis, you like to step on her legs and hands, push on her tummy, sit on her, pick her up, hit her and more. You are a bit too rough and you remind me of ME as a kid. You are a silly girl and love to rough house and wrestle unless you're losing. You're competitive... and like to always win. You quote every movie so we have to be careful what you watch. You remember little of our past, but are starting to remember stuff now. '

All in all you're an amazing kid. You talk about God and Jesus all the time and love to sing about them! You're gorgeous and dont' want us to cut your princess hair. You love anything pink and princessy. You love mom and dad and sis and you're going to grow up to be one amazing person! Oh and you looooove to read!

HAPPY 4TH BDAY SWEET EVEYANNA! WE LOVE YOU!

Oh and you really miss your uncle gary. He's your favorite. You love to fish with him and gut fish and squish their eyeballs and snowmobile and roastout and camp and do anything outdoors. You miss your auntie and uncle soooo much!

A SPLASH OF A SURPRISE!!!

Today was a GREAT day! I went to change Evey's diaper and she insisted we sit on the potty! Well we all went in and sat her on the pot and we sat for a few minutes, then she wanted off. Well we usually try to sit there for at least 3-5 minutes just in case... and she's never actually done a #1 or a #2 on the potty.... so we insisted she sit for a few more minutes. Well this made her angry and she began to cry pretty hard, then all of the sudden..... ssssssssssssssssssss!!!! She started to PEE PEE!!! She stopped crying and continued to pee for like 12 seconds!! WE ALL SAID "YIPPPPPEEEE EVEY!!!" and hugged and kissed her and made sure to make a big deal of it! Then we gave some High 5's and handed her 2 jelly beans! It was quite the event!

See, for well over a year now we've had the potty seat that goes on the big potty and we've had her sitting on it and trying for that long... not pushing, but just getting her used to the idea. We've always taken the poop from her diapers and flushed it down the toilet too with her to show her how it all works.... so we assumed it would be an easy transition. WRONG. We've learned that when they're ready, they're ready. And we know that JUST because she went 1ce doesn't mean we're there yet, but it is a great step in the right DRYrection!!! hee hee!! ( and yes we did go buy more diapers tonight! ha!) We know it will happen when she's ready!

24 Weeks: Evey is 5 month old...and then some

Could this lil' peice of heaven be any cuter? After a refreshing bath the other evening we got the handy camera out for some naked city pics! Oh boy is she cute? When I was pregnant, the one thing I was looking most forward to was pinching my new little baby bum-bum ..... well I do OFTEN! She has the cutest little pudgy, dimply, soft tooshy and I just love it! I love this image of Eveyanna... she is so cute and perfect and beautiful and and and.... AND WE LOVE HER SOOOO MUCH! Love the little bald spot on that cute pumpkin of hers and the little sheet of baby hairs at the top of her baby crack! Oh Evey.... STOP BEING SO DARN CUTE!! (no don't really!) I think this is now my favorite picture of our sweet bean. Can you tell I'm a gushing mama!?

Evey, as you can see, is now sitting up on her own! She's getting stronger by the day. She loves tummy time now and can roll from front to back and back to front. She is talented in spinning herself around now too! She is just about the happiest baby I've ever met and she keeps us laughing at every moment! In the mornings lately, she likes to wake dad up by pulling on his beard and pulling his arm pit hairs!!! She smiles in her attempts to wak him.... it's so cute! It may hurt dad, but he always wakes with a smile too! He is a proud papa fo sho!

Rusty is back in classes now, so it's hard for him to be apart from his #1 squeeze, but he'll get by. It's just so nice for us both to know that when she's not with us, she is with our wonderful friend Natalie who is watching her 2.5 days a week. She lives just down the street from us and God set it up just right for us. Thanks God! It's nice too because I will still be able to come home on my lunches... well go to Natalie's to nurse Miss E and grab a quick, but FUN lunch with my girl friend. I can tell already, it's going to be a great semster for us all!
