Our day at the Pumpkin Patch!

Oh what fun we had today at a local pumpkin patch near lake Arcadia here in Edmond! We headed out for a family fun day on route 66! It was exactly what we all needed after a busy few months of school and work. The weather was just perfect, a nice cool day with the smell of fall in the air. The drive was GORGEOUS and it just felt great to be on the road, even though it was less than 20 minutes from our house.

Once we arrived at the pumpkin patch we got to meet a skunk! Yes, a tamed skunk. We got to learn a lot about this stinky critter. Did you know they can't see much and use their sense of smell to do everything? YUP! Then we headed over to the duck house. There we met chickens, ducks, geese and some other friendly birds! We watched them squak and drink some mud water. Then we met 2 stinky pigs! Evey was so intrigued by all the new animals, I think the pigs were just too ugly. We got a bit too close and the look and smell of them frightened her for sure! It was kinda cute!! Then we met a big dirty lama...we were glad he didn't spit at us. Then we met some mini horses and a donkey and a little spotted cow. Then we got to feed some little goats and a white lama who was very polite. Evey liked feeding all the animals. Then we met some bunnies and headed over to the corn maze! It was fun walking around in the lovely fall air. Then we went on a 10 minute hay ride with some other nice families! By that time we were all wore out and headed over to pick out our free pumpkins! We got some great pics of the family then we hit the road!

We had such a wonderful day! It sure is fun being able to share these special moments with such a beautiful little girl! Thanks God!
