27 Weeks: 6 months old :: Time to eat some FOOD!

This week Evey turns 6 months! Time has passed us so quickly and we can't believe it's already time to start feeding our stinker real food!! Until now she's been livin' on breast milk alone so we were excited to introduce her to something new. Here is a great video of us feeding her some rice cereal this week. At first she seemed a bit surprised at the tastiful treat in her toothless mouth, and then she cooed for more! We had a blast with her. By the end of dinner she had cereal in her hair, all over her hands and bib and a bit on dads face from her blowing a raspberry with a mouth full! It brought smiles to all of our faces!

For 1 month we'll be feeding her baby cereals, then next month we'll move onto a yummy array of vegetables!!! We're going to try to make all of our own whole foods for Evey so she gets the very best for her growing body. Can't wait to see her with a face of green peas! Evey now likes to drink water from her sippy cup during dinner.

Here are a few other pics of lil' miss in her new cowgirl boots that we bought at a consignment sale last weekend. They're those soft leather ones for baby feetsies. They are a bit big, but oh so cute! We also found the cutest gymboree sleeper with cowgirl and horse print on them! Oh and we found the cutest pink/leapord print reversable winter coat for her too! It's getting nippy here already and winter is on it's way! (even though it barely snows here, it really does get quite cold)

Evey still hasn't pushed any teeth through those gums of hers, but she's drooling like they're coming soon! She's having a blast over at Natalies house 2.5 days a week and the other
2 days she's with dad and part of the day with me since I now work 6-2 on Tuesday's and Thursday's... we're loving it! We love taking walks with the puppies to the park and swinging on the swing. Evey is getting the biggest kick outta life and we are so delighted to be a part of it!
