44 Weeks: Christmas Story

I know it's been some time since I've really posted, but today is the day. We had a wonderful Christmas with our new baby girl. It was her first one so we had to do it up right! We spoiled her, but thankfully she's not rotten!

Christmas eve was nice. We had a fun night with the Tremblays and the at the Mullican's home eating a feast and spending some time together. Then home to read Evey "the night before christmas" and off to bed with her. Then Santa brought the presents... which was a ton of fun and then we went to bed too!

We bought her a bunch of new toys since she's pretty much bored with all of her little baby toys. I mean... Santa got her a bunch of new toys. One of her favorite gifts was one from Grammie Debbi. Her first bike! It's the cutest! Lots of colors and a cool horn that she loves to honk! We had so much fun opening and playing with all the new presents she got. Then she was so tired so we napped her a bit early. She actually took 3 naps Christmas day because of all the excitement.

For the new year... Rusty's 31 bday... we spent the evening at a friends house for a fun party. I had a cake made for Rusty which was a bit of a suprise for him. It was Star Wars themed and yummy. He blushed when I lit the candles and we all sang to him. Evey was a hit at the party... as usual. She entertained everyone by waving and saying hi and flirting for bites of food! Oh Evey!

All in all it was a fun holiday. One big thing missing was all of our families. Now that we have a child it's even harder to be away. We would have loved to share her with everyone.... hopefully next year.... or the year after.... or the following year........
